Canadian Mist is one of the most well-known whiskies in Canada, and the workers making that whiskey have been our Local’s members since 1970. From when the trucks arrive at the plant with the malt, rye, and corn, to when the barrel-aged whiskey is loaded for transport, our 20 members are involved every step of the way. The fermentation, distillation, extractive distillation processes, as well as the cooperage, warehousing, and blending processes – it’s Local 2 members. Recently they have also started aging Jamaican Rum. Cheers!
